Phone Mounts That Fit the Lectric XP4

Every phone mount guide for this bike tells you to check your handlebar diameter. None of them tell you what it is, and there is a reason for that: Lectric does not publish it. It is not in the owner manual, it is not in the bike specifications, and the only measurement we can find anywhere on the internet was taken by an owner of an earlier XP, on a bike whose frame we already know changed. Lectric even sells its own phone mount without stating a bar size requirement for it. So rather than repeat a number nobody stands behind, this guide picks mounts a different way: by whether the maker publishes the sizes their clamp fits, or clamps in a way that does not depend on the size. That is a narrower question, and unlike the diameter, it is one we can actually answer from published specifications.

Worth noting what the page does NOT say: it states no handlebar diameter requirement at all, relying on silicone pads and an adjustable clamp instead. Quad Lock publishes a list of bar sizes this mount fits, and it spans everything from 22 mm up to 35 mm, which covers every diameter a bike like this plausibly uses. What we cannot tell you is which of those the XP4 actually is, because Lectric does not publish it and no owner has measured it. The mount ships with shims to span the range, hence the "with adapter" verdict: you will likely fit one, and which one you need is something you will discover with a caliper or by trying. If you want to avoid that entirely, the Lectric mount above clamps on pads and does not care.

What to check before you buy

With the bar size unknown, two properties do the work.

  • Does the maker publish a clamp range? Quad Lock lists every bar size its mount fits. That published list is what lets you buy with confidence without a caliper.
  • Or does it avoid the question? Pad-clamp mounts, including Lectric's own, grip whatever is there. Less elegant, but immune to a spec nobody publishes.
  • Ignore phone-size specs when judging fit. Several mounts advertise a phone size range and no bar range at all. That tells you whether your phone fits the cradle, not whether the cradle fits your bike.
  • Measure yours if you can. A caliper on the bar next to the stem settles this in ten seconds and makes the whole category straightforward.

What we could not verify

The handlebar diameter itself, at the clamp and at the grips. This is the single measurement that would turn this page from careful reasoning into a straight answer, and it is genuinely unavailable: not in the manual, not on the product pages, not in any XP4 owner thread we have read. If you own an XP4 and have a caliper, that measurement would help a lot of people, and we will publish it with your report as the source.
