Owala Accessories: What Fits Which Bottle

Sizes read off the option pickers on Owala's own product pages on 2026-07-29.

Read the two "none" rows carefully, because they are different kinds of nothing. The FreeSip Twist has no boot because Owala excludes it by name and the aftermarket has not filled the gap. It has no lid because Owala simply does not sell one, while selling the straw for the same bottle. The Flip has no boot from anyone we found, but it does have a lid, and its straw is the FreeSip straw.

A FreeSip lid has no size. Owala's replacement-lid page offers a Style and a Colour and no ounces at all, because one FreeSip lid covers the 16, 24, 32 and 40 oz stainless bottles and the 25 oz Tritan. A straw does have a size, and it crosses lines. The 24 and 32 oz straw is 8.27 in long; the 40 oz is 9.25 in. Both are 0.39 in across, so a wrong-length straw still seats and simply does not reach. A boot is sized by diameter, and Owala publishes the diameters. 3.1 in for the 24 oz, 3.4 in for the 32 oz, 3.6 in for the 40 oz, against bottles it gives as 3.12 in, 3.43 in and 3.60 in. Those line up, which is what a correct set of numbers looks like. See the silicone boots guide, which is also where the Twist story lives in full.

These are absences we checked for and did not find, rather than things we have not looked up. A page here says so rather than borrowing a figure from a neighbouring line.

• Any dimension for the FreeSip Sway, in any size. Its product page carries three dimension diagrams and all three are reused FreeSip diagrams, two of them labelled with sizes the Sway is not sold in.
• Any dimension for the Flip or the SmoothSip Slider.
• Any straw length, for any bottle. The figures above come from sellers who agree with each other.
• Any lid diameter, thread or gasket size.
• Any cross-line statement. Owala says which bottle each part is for. It never says which other bottles that part also fits, or does not.

That last one is the whole reason this page exists.

Whether an Owala fits a car cup holder is settled by two numbers Owala already publishes. The FreeSip Tumbler stands on a 2.85 in base and the FreeSip Twist on 2.8 in and 2.9 in. The 32 oz FreeSip is 3.43 in at its widest and the 40 oz is 3.60 in, and Owala makes no cup-holder claim about the FreeSip line at any size.

If you are on the wrong side of that line, the cup-holder adapters guide has the expanders whose published bore ranges actually match, and is honest about the fact that the best-known answer in public is a 3D print.
