What to check before you buy

Four checks, in the order they matter.

Look for a stated brake type, not just a model list. The XP4 runs hydraulic disc brakes. A listing that says "hydraulic" or names Type D is speaking your bike's language. One that only lists model names with no version number, or says nothing about the brake system, has not told you enough.
A bare "XP" is not the XP4. Several strong-looking listings name "Lectric XP" without a generation number, which is how Lectric itself describes the mechanical-brake Type B bikes. Look for "3.0" or "4.0" stated explicitly, or a clear "hydraulic" callout.
On Lectric's own site, check the URL, not just the title. The plain /products/brake-pads address is Type B. The address with "type-d" in it is the one for this bike. Reading past the headline "Four Brake Pads" title to the actual compatibility line underneath is what catches this.
Replace at the wear limit, not on a schedule. The manual gives a wear limit rather than a mileage interval: swap the pads once the friction material wears past 0.8 mm.

Two things stand out. First, Type D is the widest list of the three by far, and the XP4 sits inside it. Second, Lectric's own naming leans on "with mechanical brakes" and "with hydraulic brakes" to split the XP 3.0 and XP Step-Thru 3.0 between Type B and Type D, because that generation shipped with both brake systems depending on configuration. If you own an XP 3.0 rather than an XP4, checking which brakes are actually on your bike matters more than the model name alone.

What we could not verify

Rotor diameter. The manual states a bolt torque for mounting the rotor but never publishes the rotor's own diameter, so this page cannot tell you whether a third-party rotor would match the stock one, and we are not printing a guess.
