ROG Xbox Ally X Accessories: What Fits, What Carries Over

The question behind most searches for ROG Xbox Ally X accessories is whether the parts sold for the ROG Ally X still fit, and the answer is mostly no. ASUS lists the 2025 ROG Xbox Ally X at 29.0 x 12.1 x 2.75 to 5.09 cm and 715 g, and the 2024 ROG Ally X at 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 to 3.69 cm and 678 g: a centimetre more in width and depth and over a centimetre more at the grips. A moulded case, a grip sleeve or a dock stand cut for the older machine is not cut for this one, and three listings in the aisle say so in their own words. What does carry over is the electrical side: a 65 W Type-C adapter, 20 V at 3.25 A, power delivery on both USB-C ports, and a USB4 port beside a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, the same arrangement as the 2024 Ally X.

ASUS's own accessory guide and the launch coverage list ASUS and licensed parts: the 2-in-1 Premium Case, the Bulwark and Gaming Charger docks, a Sandisk microSD card and a Seagate SSD. The four guides here go across brands, from ASUS's own parts to JSAUX, dbrand, iVANKY, tomtoc, UGREEN and Anker, with each fit read off the maker's page or the listing on a dated run, and the parts that do not fit kept on the page with the reason attached. Every spec is ASUS's; every third-party fit is the seller's or a reviewer's statement, and the guides say which. Nothing here comes from testing the parts ourselves.

2024 ROG Ally X to ROG Xbox Ally X: what carries over

Read from ASUS's spec pages for both machines and from the listings opened for the four guides. Each row links to the guide that carries the detail and the sources.

| Part | ROG Xbox Ally X (2025) | Carries over from the 2024 ROG Ally X? | | --- | --- | --- | | Moulded carry case | 29.0 x 12.1 x 2.75 to 5.09 cm body | No; the 2024 body is 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 to 3.69 cm, and the ButterFox 2024 case says it does not fit (cases) | | Grip sleeve or skin | Larger grips, per a hands-on | No; JSAUX's 2024 grip says not for the Xbox Ally X (grips and skins) | | Dock stand | Up to 5.09 cm thick | Not documented; no maker tests a 2024 stand on the 2025 body (docks) | | Dock cable and hub | USB4 plus USB 3.2 Gen 2, both with DisplayPort and power delivery | Yes, as a port match; the TV features ASUS names are tied to its own two docks | | Charger | 65 W Type-C, 20 V 3.25 A | Yes; the same adapter spec | | Power bank | Power delivery on both USB-C ports | Yes, as a spec match at 65 W or more per port (power banks) | | microSD card | UHS-II reader | Yes; the 2024 machine also has a reader |

The standard ROG Xbox Ally shares the 2025 body, so cases, grips and stands that fit one fit the other; it has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and no USB4, and a 60 Wh battery against the X's 80 Wh. The 2026 ROG Xbox Ally X20 is a separate ASUS model that several listings exclude by name; the guides mark where.

The four guides

  • [Docks](/rog-xbox-ally-x-accessories/docks/) turn on the TV features ASUS and Xbox document: only ASUS's Bulwark and Gaming Charger docks are named for ALLM, VRR and HDR10, and the JSAUX and iVANKY docks' claims are their own. Which USB-C port to dock from is unpublished.
  • [Cases](/rog-xbox-ally-x-accessories/cases/) split by what rides along: ASUS's 2-in-1 case and JSAUX's double-decker carry the 65 W adapter, the slim felt cases take the bare console, and a 2024 Ally X case is the documented wrong answer.
  • [Grips and skins](/rog-xbox-ally-x-accessories/grips-skins/) sort silicone skins, TPU kickstand cases and hard modular shells, with what each maker claims about vents and triggers. dbrand's Killswitch is the one a reviewer confirms.
  • [Power banks](/rog-xbox-ally-x-accessories/power-banks/) set the bar at ASUS's 65 W adapter and match banks by their makers' per-port figure. ASUS publishes no ceiling and no speed under load, so no bank carries a speed claim.

How we read fitment on this machine

ASUS's documents rank first: the two spec pages, the docking update post with Xbox Wire, the accessory product pages and ASUS's accessory guide. A maker's own product page comes next, then a reviewer or a hands-on who handled the machine, then the listing copy, labelled as the seller's claim. We link an ASUS part only where a listing exists; the 2-in-1 case and both ASUS docks are named as references because we found none. dbrand sells only from its own store, so its link goes there and carries no commission. Prices are not shown, because they change faster than a guide can be rechecked, and nothing is tested by us.

Questions owners ask

Do ROG Ally X accessories fit the ROG Xbox Ally X?

Chargers, cables, hubs and power banks do, as a port and spec match. Moulded cases, grip sleeves and dock stands do not: ASUS lists the 2025 body at 29.0 x 12.1 x 2.75 to 5.09 cm against 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 to 3.69 cm for the 2024 machine, and the listings for a 2024 case and a 2024 grip say so themselves.

What accessories does ASUS make for the ROG Xbox Ally X?

The ROG Xbox Ally (2-in-1) Premium Case, the ROG Bulwark Dock and the ROG Gaming Charger Dock, plus a licensed Sandisk microSD card and a Seagate SSD named in ASUS's guide and the launch coverage. We found no Amazon listing for the case or the docks, so they are references on their guides.

Is the ROG Xbox Ally X bigger than the ROG Ally X?

Yes, on every axis. ASUS lists it at 29.0 x 12.1 x 2.75 to 5.09 cm and 715 g against 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 to 3.69 cm and 678 g for the 2024 ROG Ally X. The cases guide has both bodies side by side.

Do Xbox Ally accessories fit the Xbox Ally X?

Cases, grips and stands do; ASUS gives both 2025 machines the same body. The difference is inside: the X has a USB4 port and an 80 Wh battery, the standard Xbox Ally has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and 60 Wh. Docks and banks apply to both on the same basis.

Which charger does the ROG Xbox Ally X use?

A 65 W Type-C adapter at 20 V and 3.25 A, per ASUS, which also says whether one is in the box varies by region. Both USB-C ports take power delivery. The power banks guide sets its bar from that figure.

We start from the spec sheet

Every guide begins with the manufacturer's own numbers for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X— rack ratings, tube sizes, clearances — each linked to where it was published.

We read what owners hit

Forum and community reports fill the gaps the spec sheet leaves, and they are labelled as owner reports, never as tested fact.

We say when it doesn't fit

Amazon pays us on clicks, so the honest "skip it" rows are the point. They stay in the tables.
