Lenovo Legion Go 2 Accessories: What Fits

The Legion Go 2 has an accessory problem that has nothing to do with supply. Lenovo has shipped three handhelds under one name, two of them 8.8 inch, and the aisle sells accessories for all three in the same search results using nearly identical words. A buyer who has just unboxed a Legion Go 2 cannot tell from a listing title whether the case in front of them was cut for their machine or for the 2023 one.

Lenovo actually publishes everything needed to settle this. Every generation has a full PSREF entry with dimensions, weight, display and ports. What nobody has done is put the two entries side by side, which is all it takes: the Legion Go 2 is narrower than the 2023 machine, deeper, thicker and heavier, and the height a case has to clear is 50.85 mm rather than the 42.25 mm the headline dimension gives, because the joysticks stand proud of the body.

These guides compile that published specification and the listings that name each generation, with every source linked. We do not test hardware. Where Lenovo publishes nothing, such as the cover-glass cut-out that would settle whether a 2023 screen protector fits, the guides say so rather than guessing.

One category is deliberately missing. Docks are among the most searched Legion Go 2 accessories and our supply scan found a single listing whose own title names the older machine. There is a real thing to say about docks on this handheld, which is that two of its four USB-C ports support charging only, and we will say it on a page when there is something honest to link.

Questions owners ask

How do I tell a Legion Go 2 accessory from a 2023 one?

By the generation in the title, never by the screen size. Both machines are 8.8 inch. Sellers who make both put "Gen 2", "Go 2" or the 2025 model year into the name, and list them as separate products.

What are machine types 8ASP2 and 8AHP2?

Lenovo's two PSREF entries for the Legion Go 2. One ships a Ryzen Z2 Extreme and the other a Ryzen Z2. The design sections are identical, so accessories do not distinguish between them.

Why is there no dock guide here?

Supply. Docks are heavily searched for this machine and the committed scan found one listing, which names the 2023 handheld in its own title. A guide with one product is a recommendation, not a comparison, so it waits.

Does the Legion Go 2 charge from any of its USB-C ports?

It charges from all of them, and only two do anything else. Lenovo lists two USB-C ports as USB4 40Gbps with USB PD 65-100W and DP 2.1, and two further USB-C ports as charging only. A dock on the wrong pair will charge and nothing more.

We start from the spec sheet

Every guide begins with the manufacturer's own numbers for the Lenovo Legion Go 2— rack ratings, tube sizes, clearances — each linked to where it was published.

We read what owners hit

Forum and community reports fill the gaps the spec sheet leaves, and they are labelled as owner reports, never as tested fact.

We say when it doesn't fit

Amazon pays us on clicks, so the honest "skip it" rows are the point. They stay in the tables.
