Legion Go 2 Power Banks: Which Port, Which Watts

Plug the bank into one of the two USB4 ports and choose one that states USB PD at 65W or more on a single USB-C port. That is the published rule, and it is short. Lenovo ships a 65W USB-C adapter with PD 3.0 in the box, and its PSREF sheet says the two USB4 ports accept USB PD 65-100W. Lenovo publishes no charging speed, no wattage under load and no list of approved banks, and we found no published charging test on the Legion Go 2 itself.

The trap is on the machine, not the bank. The Legion Go 2 has four USB-C ports that look identical, and Lenovo gives the 65-100W figure for only two of them, the USB4 pair. The other two are listed as charging only, with no wattage stated. Use the pair that has a number.

Below are six banks, each opened by hand on 5 October 2026 and matched to that range on its maker's own published figures. No Amazon title names the Legion Go 2. Only Lenovo's own bank is listed for it by its maker; the other five rest on a match between two published specs, and each entry says so.

Lenovo Legion Go 65W 12800 Power Bank

The only bank here whose maker lists the Legion Go 2 by name, at the same 65W as the adapter in the box, with a magnetic plate that holds it to the back of the handheld. It is the smallest bank on the page by capacity.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 · the two USB4 ports, out of four USB-C that look identical

  • Fits. Banks stating USB PD 65W or more on one USB-C port — meets the 65W adapter Lenovo ships and sits inside the 65-100W it lists for the USB4 ports; a spec match, not a tested pairing
  • Conditional fit. The two charging-only USB-C ports — Lenovo gives the 65-100W figure for the USB4 pair only and no wattage for these two, so plug the bank into a USB4 port
  • Conditional fit. Banks and chargers below 65W — the one independent test we found, of the 2023 Legion Go, had chargers under 40W fail to charge it and an Anker 65W bank fail to charge normally, while an Anker 140W bank delivered 89.28W against 62.18W from the box charger; no Legion Go 2 test exists to compare
  • Conditional fit. Charging speed while you play — Lenovo publishes no wattage under load for the Legion Go 2, so no bank here carries a charging-speed claim
  • Note. In the box — a 65W USB-C adapter with PD 3.0; PSREF also lists a configuration with no adapter at all

Lenovo Legion Go 65W 12800 Power Bank

The only bank here whose maker lists the Legion Go 2 by name, at the same 65W as the adapter in the box, with a magnetic plate that holds it to the back of the handheld. It is the smallest bank on the page by capacity.

The Amazon title does not name the generation; Lenovo's store page lists "Legion Go 1, Legion Go S, Legion Go 2" as hardware requirements and 65W max output at 20V 3.25A, read the same day. That is the maker naming the Go 2, which no third-party bank here does. It states no charging speed and neither does Lenovo for the machine.

Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K)

Anker publishes 20V 5A on each USB-C port, which covers the whole 65-100W range Lenovo gives for the USB4 ports, with a 140W total and the largest capacity on the page. Anker does not name the Go 2, so this is a spec match.

Spec match, not a tested pairing: Anker's own page lists 20V 5A on each USB-C port, which covers the 65W the Legion Go 2 ships with and the 100W the PSREF sheet gives as the top of the USB4 port range. Anker does not name the Legion Go 2 on its page, so the claim is the bank side and the machine side meeting, each published separately.

The slim 100W03

Baseus Blade Laptop Power Bank 100W 20000mAh

A 100W port in a slim body, with the most candid maker notes on the page, including a stated auto switch-off when output reaches its 65W input while it recharges itself. A spec match, not a named fit.

Spec match, not a tested pairing: Baseus says almost all USB-C devices whose input power is 100W or under are supported, and states 100W on a USB-C port, which covers the Legion Go 2 range of 65-100W per PSREF. Its page also says the bank supports discharging while charging but "if output is higher than input (output is or higher than 65W), the power bank will activate the auto switch-off protection". Lenovo publishes no draw figure for the handheld, so we cannot say whether it reaches that. The Baseus page lists two variants, Blade and Blade HD, with the same stated output; the Amazon listing does not say which it is.

Pick 404

Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K, 165W, Built-In Cables

The bank for owners who do not want to carry a cable. Anker builds two USB-C cables into the body and states 100W on each USB-C port with a 165W total, so one port can feed the handheld at the top of Lenovo's published range while another feeds a phone. Anker does not name the Legion Go 2 on its page; the match is the bank side and the machine side meeting on a USB-C port.

UGREEN Nexode 20000mAh 130W Power Bank

A 20,000mAh bank that states its limit per port as well as in total, which is the figure to read. UGREEN gives 130W across ports but 100W on the first USB-C port, and only that port counts for the handheld. UGREEN's page lists laptops, phones and tablets and does not name the Legion Go 2.

The 130W figure is the total across ports, not what one port delivers. UGREEN does not name the Legion Go 2 and the maker page read was its Italian store page, which carries the English feature list.

INIU 20000mAh 65W Laptop Power Bank

The bank that sits exactly on the floor. INIU states 65W as the single USB-C output maximum, which equals the adapter Lenovo ships and is the lowest wattage on this page. On paper it meets the minimum; that is the reason it is ranked last, because the one independent test we found, of the 2023 Legion Go, saw a 65W bank fail to charge the machine normally. INIU names Steam Deck, not the Legion Go 2.

Spec match, not a tested pairing, and the narrowest one on this page: INIU states 65W as the single USB-C maximum, which is the adapter wattage in the box and the bottom of the 65-100W range the PSREF sheet gives for the Legion Go 2 USB4 ports. It leaves no headroom. INIU lists Steam Deck among compatible devices on its page and does not name the Legion Go 2.

What to check before you buy a power bank

A bank purchase for this machine is five checks, and the Amazon title answers none of them.

  • Plug into a USB4 port. Lenovo states USB PD 65-100W for the two USB4 ports and no wattage for the two charging-only ports, so use the pair that has a number.
  • Read the per-port figure, not the total. A bank sold as 130W or 165W is a total across ports. What reaches the handheld is one USB-C port: INIU states 65W on a single port inside a 119W total, UGREEN states 100W on its first port inside 130W, and Anker states 100W per port inside 165W.
  • Match the box, then look for headroom. Lenovo ships 65W. A 65W port equals that and has nothing spare, and the one independent test we found, of the 2023 machine, had a 65W bank fail. A 100W port covers the whole range Lenovo gives; a 65W port covers only the bottom of it.
  • Check what the bank does while it recharges itself. Baseus says its Blade supports discharging while charging, but switches itself off when output is or higher than its 65W input. We found no equivalent statement on the other maker pages we read, and we have not tested any of them.
  • Use the cable the maker ships. UGREEN's listing says to use its included 5A USB-C cable for best performance, and Lenovo's own bank ships a 1.5 m USB-C cable plus an integrated one.

The only independent charging test is of the 2023 machine

ChargerLAB tested the original Lenovo Legion Go on 31 December 2023. That is a different machine with its own spec sheet, and it is the only independent charging test we found for any Legion Go. With the 65W Lenovo charger the machine drew 62.18W. An Anker 140W bank drew 89.28W through its first USB-C port. ChargerLAB also reported that an Anker 65W bank "fails to charge normally", and that chargers below 40W did not charge the machine.

What that supports. On the 2023 machine the low wattages were the risk and a 100W-class bank worked.

What it does not support. It does not say the Legion Go 2 behaves the same. Lenovo's Gen 2 spec sheet is a different document, lists USB PD 65-100W for the USB4 ports and publishes no minimum, and we have not tested anything, because we do not test. Read the 65W banks on this page as meeting the floor Lenovo publishes, not as proven.

What nobody has published. The charging speed while gaming, and what the two charging-only ports accept in watts. Those are the two open questions on this page, and neither is answered by a bank's own figures.

The rest of the Legion Go 2 power setup

A bank is one line of the machine's power. The Legion Go 2 accessories hub covers the other categories, and the docks guide explains the same split between the USB4 pair and the charging-only pair for a dock.

Questions owners ask

Which port should a power bank use on the Legion Go 2?

One of the two USB4 ports. Lenovo lists four USB-C ports on this machine: two are USB4 40Gbps with USB PD 65-100W, and two support charging only, with no wattage stated. Use the pair that has a published wattage.

How many watts does a Legion Go 2 power bank need?

At least 65W on a single USB-C port is the floor Lenovo ships, and the USB4 ports accept up to 100W. Lenovo publishes no minimum and no wattage under load, so a 100W port covers the whole published range and a 65W port only its bottom.

Does the Lenovo Legion Go power bank work with the Go 2?

Lenovo says so. Its store page lists Legion Go 1, Legion Go S and Legion Go 2 as hardware requirements and gives 65W max output at 20V 3.25A. The Amazon listing title says "Legion Go" without the generation, so the store page is the source.

Will a 65W power bank charge the Legion Go 2?

On paper, yes, because 65W is the adapter Lenovo ships; in practice nobody has published a Legion Go 2 result. The one independent test we found, of the 2023 Legion Go, saw an Anker 65W bank fail to charge it normally, so treat a 65W bank as meeting the floor and nothing more.

Can I charge a Legion Go 2 from a bank while I play?

We cannot tell you how fast, and neither can Lenovo. The PSREF sheet gives no wattage under load. One maker, Baseus, says its Blade bank switches itself off if it is recharging while output is or higher than 65W; the other maker pages we read are silent on it.
