Legion Go 2 Screen Protectors: Gen 2 or 2023

The whole job is reading the generation out of the title.

• Find "Gen 2" or "2025" in the name. The sellers who make both generations put it there. A title that says only "Legion Go" and "8.8 inch" is usually the 2023 product.
• Decide matte or clear on your lighting, not on protection. Nothing published separates the two on durability. Lenovo specifies a glossy anti-fingerprint surface, and anti-glare and matte are among the first terms owners add to this search.
• Take the alignment frame. On a glossy 16:10 panel a crooked application is obvious, and every Gen 2 listing we verified except one ships a frame or a guiding kit.
• Buy the two-pack. Every Gen 2 option here is sold in twos, which is the realistic number for a first attempt plus a replacement.
• Do not read the rating count as this generation's. Two of these sellers list their 2023 and Gen 2 protectors in one review family, and both listings then report the same total.

What Lenovo states. Both machines are 8.8 inch, 16:10, 144Hz, with 10-point in-cell touch. Neither PSREF entry gives a cover-glass cut-out dimension, an active-area measurement or a bezel width. The Legion Go 2 body is about 4 mm narrower than the 2023 one, which means the same panel sits in a different frame, but Lenovo does not say what that does to the glass outline.

What the sellers do. ivoler sells a Gen 2 protector and a separate 2023 protector. JSAUX sells a Gen 2 anti-glare and a separate Legion Go anti-glare. Two vendors who could have cross-listed one product across both machines chose to ship two products instead.

What we will not say. That a 2023 protector does not fit. Nobody has published that, we have not tried it, and a seller shipping two SKUs is a commercial decision as much as a dimensional one. What we will say is that if you want the question closed rather than argued, buy the one with your generation in the title.
