One question decides it: which container?

Tall container = classic tamper. The 64 oz Classic container on the 5200, 5000 or 6300 takes the classic tamper.
Short container = low-profile tamper. The low-profile 64 oz and the 40 oz take the 11 in low-profile tamper, and only that.
Ascent owners: the S2. The longer S2 low-profile tamper is the one that reaches into both the Ascent 64 oz low-profile and the 48 oz.
Do not mix. Vitamix says lids and tampers do not interchange across container styles, and the reason is safety: the wrong length can hit the blades.
