Stanley Quencher ProTour Lid Replacement Guide

Stanley makes the part you need and refuses to sell it to you. The Quencher ProTour, the flip-straw model launched at the end of 2024, has one predictable failure, the flip-straw lid, and Stanley does not sell a ProTour replacement lid at all. Its own customer service says so out loud. One r/StanleyCups owner: "Cracked my protour lid after 2 weeks. Stanley will not allow me to buy a replacement and told me to buy a generic brand off Amazon."

So this is a shelf Stanley built by omission, and the good news is the fit rules are simple once you know them. A flip-straw lid is chosen by SIZE, and at that size it fits every Quencher generation the same: the ProTour, the H2.0 FlowState, and the retired Adventure Quencher all share a cup at 14, 20, 30 or 40 oz. What a lid does not do is cross sizes (a 40 oz lid fits 40 oz only) or cross to the IceFlow, which is a different cup. Read your size off the base of the cup, not the box, and buy that.

Buying the right Quencher lid

One number decides it, and it is printed under your cup.

  • Read the size off the base. Flip the Quencher over; the size is stamped on the bottom. A 40 oz lid fits 40 oz only, so this is the number that matters, not the box.
  • Ignore the generation. ProTour, H2.0 FlowState and Adventure Quencher share the cup at each size, so a flip-straw lid sized to your cup fits whichever you own.
  • A flip straw is not a FlowState lid. If you want the rotating 3-position FlowState lid instead, Stanley sells that one first-party on its own site; it is not on Amazon and it is a different lid.
  • Not the IceFlow. These lids fit the Quencher line only. The IceFlow takes its own lid, even though a Quencher boot will fit an IceFlow.
  • The reviews are pooled. Star counts here are shared across colour and size variants of a family, not earned by your one size.
  • Buy a spare. These are two-packs for a reason; the part cracks, and Stanley will not sell you a first-party replacement when it does.

Stanley's lids collection carries the FlowState 3-position lids and nothing else. There is no ProTour flip-straw replacement lid, and owners have watched for it: a thread titled "Stanley No Longer Selling ProTour Lids?" gets the reply "i don't think they ever have," and another owner reports converting a plain Quencher to a ProTour with an off-brand lid. That is the whole reason this page is a third-party shelf: it is the shelf Stanley points you to.

One caution, and one that does NOT apply. The size-lock is real: an owner asking whether a 40 oz lid fits a 20 oz cup gets a flat "It does not." But the metal-straw warning that haunts some tumblers, that a metal straw cracks the lid, is an Owala finding and we did not find it repeated for Stanley, so we do not repeat it here.
