A Blackstone grease cup liner fits by the grease SYSTEM, not by the size of your griddle, and getting that backwards is the single most common wrong order. The 5017 liner is cut for the Rear Grease Management System, the rear-drain cup on the current cooking stations, so it fits the 17, 22, 28 and 36 inch stations, the Range Top Combo and the Pro Series, whatever the size.

What it does not fit is anything with a different cup. The electric E-Series drains to the rear too, but it has its own low-profile, dishwasher-safe grease cup, so the 5017 does not go on it. The Camp stow-and-go tables use a stow-and-go cup and are listed as not compatible. And the older front-grease and side-grease griddles never took a rear liner at all. Buying the right liner

One question decides it, and it is not the size.

Find the grease cup, not the size. If the drain and cup are at the rear on a current cooking station, the 5017 fit is your fit. The size, 17 through 36 inch, does not change the liner.
E-Series owners, stop. The electric E-Series has its own low-profile cup. A 5017 liner will not seat in it. Buy the cup liner Blackstone lists for the E-Series instead.
Camp cooks, stop too. The stow-and-go Camp tables (Models 2246 and 2250) use a different cup and are called out as not compatible.
Front-drain griddles take a different tray. Older and some tabletop griddles drain to the front or side. A rear liner does not help you.
The size is 8 in x 3.75 in x 3 in. Third-party liners state the same footprint because they are copying the rear cup; the difference between packs is count and price, not fit.
The reviews are pooled across pack sizes and colours, so read the star count as a family verdict, not a per-box one.

Grill Parts America lists the 5017 as fitting the 36-inch, 28-inch, 22-inch and 17-inch cooking stations, the Range Top Combo and the ProSeries, and states plainly that it is "not compatible with E-Series models." Walmart's listing adds the Camp exclusion: it is not for "Blackstone E-Series griddles or Blackstone Camp griddles with a stow-and-go grease cup (Models 2246 and 2250)."

The front-versus-rear split is the one that strands people. Blackstone has built both, and a front-grease owner on r/blackstone put it exactly: "This is the front right drainage version ... Everything I find online is for rear drainage." If your grease runs to a cup at the front or side, none of the liners on this page are yours.

Does the Blackstone 5017 liner fit every griddle?

No. The 5017 fits the Rear Grease Management System, so it fits the current cooking stations, the Range Top Combo and the Pro Series. It does not fit the electric E-Series or the Camp stow-and-go tables, which use a different cup, nor the older front-grease and side-grease griddles.

Why does not the 5017 fit my E-Series griddle?

How do I know if my griddle is rear-grease?

Look at where the grease drains. If it runs to a cup at the back of the griddle on a current cooking station, it is rear-grease and takes the 5017. If it drains to the front or side, it is a front-grease griddle and needs a different tray, not a 5017 liner.
